GF All-American Bowl Commit: Aden Cline

The Rosepine High School Eagles had one of their best seasons in program history winning ten games and making the Quarterfinals for the second year in a row. A big reason for the Eagles’ recent success has been the play of one of their seniors in Aden Cline. At 5’10, 155 pounds, Aden brought a lot of versatility and stamina to Brad Ducote’s squad as he hardly came off the field playing wide receiver, safety, and even kicker for the Eagles. His ability to have a big impact for his team best was exemplified in Week 8 this season when he was named Gridiron Football’s Top Louisiana Player of the Week. In a 48-2 win over Holy Savior Menard, Cline’s versatility was at full display when he had 3 catches for 103 yards and scored a TD on all 3 catches as a receiver, had multiple tackles on defense and 2 INTs including 1 INT returned for a TD, and then, finally converted 6 of 7 extra point attempts, blocked a field goal on special teams, and was also the return specialist for the team. Overall, Cline accounted for 30 of the team’s 48 points in that win. He will look to have a repeat of that type of performance in the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game at the end of the month.

“I was pretty excited to hear I was invited because I have a few buddies who are participating in the bowl with me, and it’s awesome that I’m able to play in the Gridiron Bowl. It’s been the drive to be able to play in something big at the end of the year.”
