Justin Curtis (Class of 2026) is a name that continues to make noise in the secondary, bringing a physical edge and relentless motor to the Defensive Back position at Bridgeland High School. Standing 5’11, 185 pounds, Curtis backed it up with production—64 tackles, 4 PBUs, and 2 tackles for loss—proving he’s not afraid to come downhill and make plays. With a 3.3 GPA and interest from Texas Southern and multiple D3 programs, he’s the type of player coaches trust on and off the field. What motivates you every time you step on the field?


    My family—I remember who I’m doing it for and my love for the game.


Who has had the biggest impact on your football journey so far?


    My parents 100%. Their belief and love for me has made my journey easier knowing I’m not alone in this.


What’s one thing people don’t see about the work you put in?


    They don’t see the time I put into it—even after training, I’m always wanting more work to better my craft.


What’s your favorite moment from your football career up to this point?


    A big rivalry game on senior night—I made a tackle for loss and looked up at all the people who came to support me. It lit something in my heart.


What do you think separates you from other players at your position?


    My character, who I am as a person and teammate, and my work ethic.


How do you handle adversity during a tough game or season?


    That’s something I’m still improving, but I repeat the verse “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” It keeps my mind right, and I remember I’m not alone—I have my family and my why.


What are your goals for the upcoming season?


    Become a starter wherever I go and make my family proud.


What’s your dream school or next step in your football career?


    Whoever believes in me and gives me a chance. My next step is getting into college.


How would your teammates describe you on and off the field?


    A leader—both on and off the field.


What message would you give to younger athletes looking up to you?


    Believe in yourself. Everyone’s story is different—there’s no one way to reach your goals in this sport.
