Grant High School (Dry Prong, LA) linebacker Kaden Chandler has committed to play in the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will be played at Memorial Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Saturday, December 30th.
The 5’11, 220 pound linebacker was a jack of all trades for the Cougars as he was their version of Taysom Hill. Because of an injury to the team’s starting quarterback, Chandler took on the task and became the team’s quarterback down the stretch this season. He also played running back when needed and even scored five touchdowns on the ground. However, his main position is linebacker, and he has posted some big numbers through two years with 213 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss, five forced fumbles, six interceptions including two pick sixes, and five sacks.
The multifaceted Swiss army knife is a good athlete, but he brings a lot of toughness, physicality, aggressiveness, and the anticipation needed to be a really productive linebacker. He also gets the job done in the classroom with a 3.9 GPA. The two time 2nd Team All-District selection models his playing style after Seattle Seahawks All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner.
As of now, the only college that has shown interest in Chandler has been Louisiana Christian, but he hopes that all changes with a strong performance in the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game next week.
“This opportunity means everything to me because I get the chance to showcase my abilities and love for this game coming from a small town that never had a lot of publicity in sports. I will be able to put on pads and play the game of football with others chasing the same dream and goal that I am and learn from them as well! To God the Glory!”

After football, Kaden Chandler wants to make a difference by helping the next generation in anyway that he can.
“I want to be able to hopefully give back to the community and people who helped me excel during my football career. I feel like I have a huge heart and like to influence the younger generation with their love for the game and their walk with God.”
