Peabody High School (Alexandria, La.) tight end Karl’Mareon Batiste has committed to play in the fifth annual Gridiron Football All-American Bowl.
“Playing in the Gridiron All-American Bowl game means a lot and I’m thankful for this opportunity that has been provided to me. When I step on the field, I’m going to feel like I’m the top dog.
Not only will the bowl game give Batiste the opportunity to get extra looks from college, it will give him the chance to play another game of football.”
“Football has stuck with me throughout my life until now. During a football game, there are numerous amounts of dynamic situations to be involved with. There are so many crucial actions that take place in a matter of seconds. In a certain instance in my life, the game had a strong impact on my life.”
Batiste, who made the All-DIstrict team as a tight end, has two offers from Community Christian College and Roseville Athletic Academy.
Batiste’s favorite player is Travis Kelce, the All-Pro tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Travis Kelce has been my favorite player since i was a upcoming teen. He is a good player as he put shis team on his back and when it’s time to play he’s ready.”
Batiste is also a member of Peabody’s baseball team.
