Grant High School (Dry Prong, LA) DL Kourtland Elie has committed to the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game. He’s a powerful grown man who has played every position along the defensive line and can do just about anything, who is especially proficient at block shedding.

That ability to shed blocks is genuinely extremely impressive. He throws offensive lineman off of him like a wolf ripping apart its prey, making sure nobody stands between him and the ball carrier. Because of this, he seems to be in every single play helping to make the tackle as if he was a linebacker. This block-shedding ability gets him in the backfield often, so he has plenty of opportunities to create negative plays and destroy drives. He’s really well built – 6’2″ 260 lbs, likely projecting to be a defensive end at the next level, where his abilities will make him a great edge rusher in the future. He compiled 54 total tackles (16 solo, 38 assist), 4 TFLs, and 6 sacks on the season. Elie has no offers yet, but he can’t wait for the bowl game where he will get his opportunity to earn them.
