Mandeville High School (Mandeville, LA) offensive tackle Ty Cutrer is the sixth official commitment to play in the 2026 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will be played on Wednesday, December 30th at Louisiana Christian University in Pineville, Louisiana.

The 6’4, 290 pound prospect earned his bowl game invitation by being one of the top performers at this year’s Gridiron Football Elite Camp held at St. Louis Catholic High School in Lake Charles, Louisiana. There, he had a 5.79/30 and a 4.95 shuttle. His big frame and his ability to control the line of scrimmage certainly stood out.
“I looked here for competition. As soon as I got to the camp, I wanted to see how many defensive linemen there were and how big they were. I had a ton of fun and it was a very great experience. I learned a lot.”

For his size, Cutrer is pretty quick off the snap and can lock on defensive linemen in a hurry. His footwork and tenacity is there too as he drives defenders 10 yards back. He is also exceptional in pass protection as his length and lateral agility make it tough for anybody to get past him. Along with his versatility to play either guard or tackle, Cutrer is certainly an emerging prospect just scratching the surface after playing football for only three years. Currently, he has received an offer from Ottawa University.
What stands out most about Ty Cutrer is not only his ability, but his character. He is always working to get better and takes in any coaching or feedback very well. To sum it up, his main goal this season is not an individual goal, but a team goal of leading Mandeville to a state championship this season.
“Colleges should recruit me because I am coachable. Whatever Coach needs me to do, I will do it.”
