Block High School DB Kristian O’Steen has committed to the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game. He is an impressive athlete who can do just about anything, whether that’s as a WR, a return specialist, or a part of the secondary.

The majority of his film is seen at the WR position, but he’ll be playing DB at the bowl game. Even so, what he has demonstrated as a receiver shows a lot of the needed skills that will translate into the secondary. He is on the smaller side – 5’9″, 150 – but he plays bigger than that. He is fast and agile, slippery and difficult to bring down.

However, his most impressive and translatable trait is his football IQ. Many of his best plays stem from him having an understanding of where he is on the field and the instinct to maneuver into the right position to maximize his yardage. Whether that is always finding the green grass on a scramble drill or making the right cut to beat out tacklers as a ball carrier, Kristian O’Steen understands the game of football at an instinctive level. That will lead him to success no matter what position he is playing. He doesn’t have any offers yet, but he can’t wait for the opportunity to earn some this weekend.
