Today, Bunkie High School CB and Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game commit Kyle Johnson had a big surprise in store for National Signing Day as the four star defensive back flipped from Houston to Mississippi State.
Johnson picked the Bulldogs over the likes of Houston, Virginia, Baylor, Ole Miss, and Vanderbilt. As the fourth highest ranked signee in Jeff Lebby’s class, Johnson is excited about the opportunity to play in Starksville.

Johnson is having an incredible senior season for the Bunkie Panthers leading them to the semifinals as well as an undefeated season. He will have one more game before going off to Starksville as he has committed to play in the 2024 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game on Monday, December 30th at Memorial Stadium.
