Jayden Gloston is a four-star DB entering his Senior year at University Lab. He is a dual-sport athlete, locking down the field in the Fall and blazing down the track in the Spring. While he shines bright on the field, his talent in Track and Field is undeniable. He recorded a time of 10.93 in the 100-meter dash, 22.41 in the 200-meter, and ran a 4.41 40-yard dash.
While being at a school with talent all around, he still has found a way to stand out and earned himself First-Team All-District honors, last season as a Junior. His dedication on the field and in the weight room has lined him up to have his best season yet this upcoming year. He recorded a PR squat last summer of 405 entering only his Junior year and has only continued to increase his strength.
After losing in the semifinal, one game from the state championship last season, the University Lab Cubs are looking to go all the way and finish the job this year. With so much senior talent for the Cubs this year, they are in a prime position to take the ring home. With a total of 4 players ranked in the top 50 for the 2025 class in the state of Louisiana on 247sports, this season everything is on the line for these players. LSU commit LB Keylan Moses is the 7th-ranked player, Jayden is ranked number 20, U-Lab’s senior QB Emile Picarella sits at 33 and WR Zay Martin is 42nd. To say the least, it will be a very entertaining and competitive season for the team as a whole.
While receiving offers from Texas State, Texas Tech, Marshall, and Arkansas State he has committed to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to keep his talents in the state of Louisiana.

Who is your favorite NFL/ College Player that you try to model your game after?
I really like Marshon Lattimore, I’ve been watching him since like middle school when he first came to the Saints.
What is your favorite thing about playing Cornerback?
Being able to shut down another team’s receivers for sure and being able to basically take them out of the game.
Congrats on your recent commitment to ULL. What made you know that this was the right school for you to continue your career?
The family aspect of everything. Not only was I close to my grandparents, my parents, etc., but as soon as I got on campus after recently being offered and got around Coach Des, Coach Barlow, Coach Salgado, and the other commits like Trent, they had me. It really just felt like a very close community among the team, the coaches, and the fans and that’s just something that I always look for and has always been important to me.
What has been your favrotite HS game of your career so far and what made it your favorite?
Beating Arch Manning and Newman during my sophmore year or the Catholic game last year. I really can’t decide between the two, both of them really just brought our team together and I just loved celebrating with my guys after the game.
Being on a team with top-tier talent such as U-Lab, how have the coaches and players around you helped you improve to be the best that you can be?
Just going against great players like Zay and Tru this year and Granville in the past years, every single day in practice, it really helps you develop your game much faster tgan just being on any regular team. They push you harder, both physically and mentally, and that’s something that I try to make the most out of everyday when we go up against each other.
I also see that you are a dual-sport athlete, also running track. How long have you been running and what is your favorite event?
I’ve been running since 7th grade and I love the 100, that’s defintely my favorite.
When you are getting pumped up pre-game in the locker room, what’s your favorite song to help you zone in and get in that mode?
I’ve got a couple. Dat Raw by Doddie Savage and Traffic by MMY Ash are 2 that always get me locked in and ready to go.
Entering your senior season, what are some personal/team goals that you look to accomplish this year?
I just want to win. With recruitment being basically over, I really just want to go win that Championship with my guys.
What is a life lesson you have learned from football?
Playing football really taught me how to get through all the adversity in life. Just put your head down and keep working.
Lastly, is there anything that I haven’t mentioned that you want people to know about you?
Nothing really man. I just love to play ball, thats it.
