Javon Vital is an all purpose, multi-sport athlete who plays Quarterback, Running-back, Corner-back, Receiver, and Returner for Hamilton Christian High. With a solid frame of 5’10, and 182 pounds, Javon Vital has been a key piece of Hamilton’s season. He is a well rounded athlete that can play multiple positions on the field, as well as multiple sports for his school. He currently has offers from University of Houston, UTSA, and Grambling State so far. Off of the football field, he has a 3.2 GPA and is constantly looking to improve on all aspects of his game. His next game will be next Friday, 10/11 Friday against Grand Lake in a home meeting for Hamilton.
When did you start playing football?
“I started playing football when I was 5.”
What made you start playing?
“My old coaches back in little league got me to start playing.”
What do you love most about football?
“I love the game. I love competing against the best.”
What player, NFL or College did you model your game after?
“I try to model my game after Tank Dell, Javon Baker, and Ryan Williams. They have all influence my game.“
What would your teammates say about you?
“First, they would say that I am a leader. They would also say that I am a funny teammate and I am always pushing them to work harder and be better.”
What is your motivation?
“My family and my coaches have always been my motivation.“
What is your goal that you want to reach by the end of the season?
“By the end of the year, my goal is to have 3,000 passing yards and 5,000 rushing yards combined in my time playing here.”
What game or moment in the game has been your favorite up to this point?
“My favorite moment up to this point was actually in little league. There was a game where we were down by one TD and I had two people guarding me. My QB trusted me still, he threw it up and I caught the game winning TD.”
What do you do on your free time outside of school?
“I don’t have much free time, but when I am free, I like to train. I also chill with my brother and play video games.”
