No. 25 LB – Princeton Miller

Q: tell us about yourself; Where did you grow up?

“I grew up in a smaller neighborhood in Mendenhall, Mississippi – where i stayed with my mother, grandmother, and sister. I had to find myself something that I was passionate about, to stay out of trouble, to better myself and others around me. That is where football came in. It helped push me to achieve my goals and better myself.”

Q: When did you start playing football?

“I actually started playing football much later than other players around me. I began playing football at the pee-wee, tackle level, just before junior high school.”

Q: What is your favorite part about playing the linebacker position?

“For me, I like that I can see the entire field. I am a leader of the defense in the position of linebacker. I can call out to my defense if we need to change a play, make an adjustment.”

Q: What is one of the biggest challenged you have faced playing football, and how did you overcome that?

“One of the biggest challenges I faced playing football was getting used to the talent around me when I got to the high school level. Everyone was a little bit bigger, faster, and stronger. At first it was intimidating but I soon realized that I could play at this level as well.”

Q: What is something you have learned from football so far?

“You have to work hard at everything you do in life. Nothing will come easy, you have to apply yourself to everything you do.”

Q: Who do you look up to on the football field, whether it is a current or former player?

I look up to the older linebackers here at Mendenhall High School. I think they are exceptional leaders on and off the football field.”

Q: What strengths do you believe you have that makes you an impact athlete?

“My versatility on the football field. I am fast from the linebacker position. and also have good strength with it. I find that I can shed blocks quickly in order to make tackles. I am also someone who does not like to be outworked; if I see someone working harder than me it pushed me to better myself.”

Q: How would your teammates describe you?

The would probably say I am a hard-worker and a leader on this team.

Q: What are you looking forward to this upcoming season, any specific goals for you?

“Last season we were able to make it to the State Championship came but could not bring it home. This year is the year I want to get the trophy. The only goal is for our team at Mendenhall to become state champs.”
