Westgate 2024 Three Star Defensive Lineman De’Myrion Johnson Commits To LSU

LSU got some more recruiting news today when Westgate High School 2024 three star defensive lineman De’Myrion Johnson announced that he was going to commit to the LSU Tigers.

Johnson is ranked as the number 11 player in the state of Louisiana according to 247. Repping the Westgate Tigers in New Iberia, Louisiana, Johnson is not going to change the colors or the mascot too much as he has chosen to play for the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge.

At 6’3, 280 pounds with 4.8/40 speed, the upcoming senior defensive lineman has great power and explosiveness. Not to mention, he does a great job of blowing up plays whether it is sacking quarterbacks behind the line or getting TFLs in the running game.

The in-state product chose the Tigers over Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma State, and Auburn among others. This is also defensive line coach Jimmy Lindsey’s first commit at the position since joining the coaching staff.

With this commitment, it marks another big time in-state pickup for the Tigers and overall it is the 16th commitment for the LSU Tigers’ 2024 class.
