On this Thursday night district match up, the Plaquemine Green Devils took a early lead on the St. Michael Warriors. The Green Devils run game was unstoppable. Between Senior, Herb Thomas(5) at Quarterback, Senior, Dontayvion Wicks(3) and Senior, Treyvon Leblanc(2) playing a few snaps at Quarterback as well this offense was lead by three dynamic individuals. Junior, Running back Earl Young(33) helped this Green Devil offense stack more points on the board as well. Overall this offense had over 300 yards for the entire game. However, Plaquemine defense was not far behind. Tonight alone the Green Devils forced four fumbles. They held the St.Michaels Warriors scoreless the entire game until about six minutes left in the fourth quarter.
The St.Michaels Warriors had various great plays throughout the entire game. Senior, Quarterback, Cole Garafola(14) made various attempts to continue to move the ball down the field for the Warriors. Senior, middle Linebacker, Taylor Macello(43) forced and recovered the fumble to put St.Michaels on the board. The Warrior defense also held the Green Devils, forcing a field goal in the red zone. Junior, Conner Badeaux(2) was another asset to the Warriors tonight, he caught a interception to put them in great ball position before the half. This game was definitely a great physical match up.
