After a great turnout at the first Gridiron Football Elite Camp this offseason in Gonzales, Louisiana, Gridiron Football made the trip to the 318 at Evangel Christian Academy for the second camp of the offseason.
Over 50 players from four different states were represented at the camp with participants coming from the states of Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
The camp started out as each player getting a chance to get interviewed with the Gridiron Football staff and then, CEO Andy Bryson talked with the players by giving them advice on what college coaches are looking for in each prospect.
The camp then followed with the combine portion of the camp as each player got two opportunities to run the 40, shuttle, and attempt the broad jump. Each rep was filmed and sent to the players a week after the camp.
The 40 yard dash featured nine times that were 4.6 or better including Peabody High School 2027 RB/WR Jonathan Hargrove Jr., who led the way with a 4.56 time. Meridian High School (MS) 2027 DB Jaylon Easley (4.6), El Dorado High School (AR) 2027 WR Christian Williams (4.6), Sabine High School (TX) 2027 WR/DB Terry Vanden (4.63), Mansfield High School 2028 RB Jayden Hamilton (4.65), Jonesboro Hodge High School (LA) 2027 CB Jamarcus Dozier (4.66), Mansfield High School (LA) 2026 RB/ATH Terrell Pegues (4.69), and Natchitoches Central (LA) 2027 LB Brendan Young (4.69) all ran under a 4.7.
For the shuttle, eight different players ran under a 4.5. Leading the way is Calvary Baptist Academy (LA) 2026 LB David Weeks (4.31). Behind him is Meridian High School (MS) 2027 DB Jaylon Easley (4.32), Captain Shreve High School (LA) 2027 WR Cameron McDaniel (4.32), Tioga High School (LA) 2026 LB Kohen Henry (4.44), Captain Shreve High School (LA) 2028 WR Rickeynan Holden (4.44), Sabine High School (TX) WR/DB Terry Vanden (4.47), and El Dorado High School (AR) WR Christian Williams (4.47).
The final test is the broad jump with Mansfield High School (LA) 2028 RB Jayden Hamilton having a 10 foot jump. Sabine High School (TX) 2027 WR/DB Terry Vanden (9’5), Calvary Baptist Academy (LA) 2026 LB David Weeks (9’4), Mansfield High School (LA) 2026 RB/ATH Terrell Pegues (9’3), Jonesboro Hodge High School (LA) 2027 CB Jamarcus Dozier (9’3), Loyola College Prep (LA) 2027 QB Bryce Restovich (9’2), El Dorado High School (AR) WR Christian Williams (9’0), and Peabody Magnet High School (LA) 2027 RB/WR Jonathan Hargrove Jr. (9’0).
After every player got their times, they got 30 minutes with their position coach to go over drills and techniques that can help better their positions. Then, it was time for everybody to compete.

The wide receivers and defensive backs went against each other during 1v1s while offensive linemen and defensive linemen faced off in the trench war drill and the always popular tire pull challenge.
To end the camp, the offense faces off the defense during 7v7. Four of the five drives were won by the offense. The quarterback play was really impressive with Loyola College Prep (LA) 2027 QB Bryce Restovich leading a touchdown drive that ended with a touchdown grab from Calvary Baptist Academy (LA) 2027 RB Z’Ryan Miles.
Logansport High School (LA) 2028 QB Kollin Magee made it look easy by driving the offense down the field in two plays by throwing a 25 yard touchdown pass to Mansfield High School (LA) 2028 RB Jayden Hamilton. Haughton High School (LA) 2027 QB Jaylon Abney impressed with his deep ball by connecting on two deep balls to Mount Pleasant Junior High 2029 RB/WR Bryan Robles and Meridian High School (MS) 2027 WR/DB Demarcus Terry during 1v1s plus perhaps the most impressive highlight during 7v7s and that was an over the shoulder throw to Jonathan Hargrove Jr.,.
Mansfield High School (LA) 2026 RB/ATH Terrell Pegues had to go upstairs and catch a touchdown pass from McAdams High School (MS) 2026 QB Gavin Brown. However, the camp did end with a defensive play as Rusheon Middle School (LA) 2029 LB Bryston Collins picked off Buckeye QB Cason Curtis after Curtis hit Jena High School (LA) 2028 TE Hayden Deville for a big gain the play before.
At the end of the camp, top performers were named for their standout days and got to be interviewed. The top performers were Loyola College Prep (LA) 2027 QB Bryce Restovich, Meridian High School (MS) 2027 DB Jaylon Easley, Youree Drive Middle School (LA) Landon Williams, Haughton High School (LA) 2027 QB Jaylon Abney, El Dorado High School (AR) 2027 WR Christian Williams, Mansfield High School (LA) 2026 RB/ATH Terrell Pegues, and Rusheon Middle School 2029 LB Bryston Collins.
That was not the only awards given out as Bryson also surprised three players with invites to the 2025 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game. Two of them were top performers in the trenches as Minden High School (LA) 2026 OL Grayson Gorum and Evangel Christian Academy’s very own Christian Speight were invited to the prestigious event. The third 2026 prospect invited was Calvary Baptist Academy (LA) LB David Weeks, who had a very impressive performance at the camp. Speight was the one Eagle represented at the camp, and he felt like he had a great day representing the E as one of the top camp performers and an All-American Bowl Game invite.
“It’s a great opportunity for anybody and everybody. I feel like I came out here and showed what I could do here. I would like to encourage younger players to go to camps. It is all about representing the E. I would represent the E anywhere I go. God is everywhere and this is all thanks to God.”

The first junior high All-American Bowl Game player was also invited for this year as East Beauregard Junior High 2030 OL Wiley Lenhart held his own in the trenches against a lot of upperclassmen and impressed the coaches while doing so.
“I felt like it was a great opportunity to come to this camp because I was able to play different positions and learn more and more stuff.”

Finally, Captain Shreve High School (LA) 2026 offensive lineman Ian Wallace earned an invite to the 2025 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game based on his film as he did not participate in the camp due to recovering from an injury, but was there in attendance to get himself ready when he comes to a Gridiron Football Elite Camp later this offseason.
“It means a lot especially coming off my injury. A couple of weeks, I will be back at one of your camps and I am really looking forward to the bowl game.”
