We have named coach Justin Charles, HC of Menard High School, as head coach of the west team and Darin Moore, OL coach Salmen High School, as head coach of the east team.

Justin Charles is the former head coach of Louisiana College and current head coach of Holy Savior Menard high school. Coach Charles played college football at Louisiana College before pro football debut with indoor football. He returned to Louisiana College and began his coaching career. He worked his way up from graduate assistant to defensive back coach to defensive coordinator and finally became the head coach after coach Dennis Dunn tenure.

The west team coordinators will be on offense, Eric Holden, HC Comeaux high school, and defensive coordinator James Taylor, former DC of General Trass high school.

Darin Moore will serve as the head coach of the east team. Darin attended Louisiana College and was a standout lineman for the Wildcats. After college, Darin became a college graduate assistant coach before returning to Louisiana to coach high school football. Coach Moore, in my opinion, is the top offensive line coach in the state of Louisiana at any level. He has developed productive and successful offenses at every school he has coached at.

The east team coordinators will be on offense Adam White, OL coach at Denham Springs, and defensive coordinator Tyler Lewis, DB coach at St. James. Both of these young coaches have coached with Gridiron Football since 2018. Adam is a former LSU offensive lineman that began his coaching career after college. He has coached with Catholic Baton Rouge, Lafayette Christian, and now Denham Springs to name a few. Tyler played his college ball at Louisiana College before starting his coaching career. He has coached a West St. John, Terrebonne, and St James.

We currently have over 40 coaches from all corners of Louisiana. In our next article, we will post about four more of the coaches.

Wydett Williams Jr is a 6’2″ 185 lbs QB from General Trass high school. I have seen Wydett over the years as he has matured into one of the top QB prospects in the state. This past spring, Wydett joined me and Marcus on the Randall Corner and his knowledge of his position blew Marcus away. I drove up to Mangham to watch the matchup between the Dragon and the Panthers. This was a huge game since it was the deciding factor for the district championship. Following the game, Wydett was named player of the week for his performance. Wydett will play QB for the east team in this years game.

Chad Woodson is 6’2″ 230 lbs TE from Kenner Discovery high school. Chad is a strong kid that has good speed for his position. I saw Chad play vs Salmen high school and he can do it all as a tight end; catch, block, and stretch the field. Chad will play on the east team. Chad will be coached one last time by his head coach PJ Sprunk in the bowl game.

Bo Stampley is a 6’4″ 320 lbs center for Oak Grove high school. I have seen Bo play several times during the state championships. Bo is a hard hitting center that plays with good pad height for a guy his size. Bo will be snapping for the east team in December.

Brock Harvey is a 6’4″ 240 lbs defensive end from West Monroe high school. Brock plays with excellent technique and is fast off the snap. Very disruptive defensive end that makes a living rushing the QB. Brock will be playing for the east team in the All-Star game.

Payten Roberts is a 5’8″ 170 lbs LB from Delta Charter high school. Do not be fooled by Payten’s size. He is a hard hitting linebacker that has the speed to compete compete at the next level. I saw him play last year vs Deli and he was making plays all over the field. I like his aggressiveness and competitive nature. Payten will play for the east team in December.

Sharone Finister Jr. is a 6’2″ 170 lbs CB from Ferriday high school. Sharone has elite speed and has all the abilities to play at the next level. Sharone has good technique and reads the play very good. This season he is playing both sides of the ball as QB. I have seen this young man on several occasions from the 2019 state championship game to 7 on 7 all spring long. Sharone will play CB for the east team in Dec.
