Tell me a little bit about yourself.

I’m from Oak Grove, Louisiana and I like to hang out with my teammates. Oak Grove football is really tight family and they hang out amongst themselves.

How did you start playing football?

I started playing peewee in the 3rd grade on an undefeated team. I played two years on Mike Landry’s team. I played with FEU at the All-Star camp in South Carolina.

What are some goals you have for this season?

To get my last state championship, the 3peat. It will be the only Oak Grove team to do that.

What keeps you motivated?

My teammates. I have to keep them protected. We’re really close. I don’t want to see anyone hurt them and they don’t want to see anyone hurt me.

How do you prepare for a game?

I like to go watch film with one of my teammates Zach Hegwood. I like to nap and show up to the field house early and run plays with my fellow linemen and making sure they know the plays. I like to sit in my locker and listen to music and wait for the first group to get taped and dressed. After that, it’s game time.

What is your biggest goal you have set concerning your football career?

Besides winning a state championship three teams, playing at the college level.

What is an important lesson that you have learned from football?

Everybody has to trust each other. Everybody has to trust that everyone will do their job. The quarterback depends on me to protect him and get a good drive.

What are some of your greatest strengths?

I can rally up my people and make sure everybody has their head on a swivel.

What do you think sets you apart from other players?

I’m meaner. I can go the extra mile and make sure you [his opponent] don’t get up.
