Ollie Gordon is an electrifying running back in the class of 2022 for Trinity high school in Euless, Texas. At 6’1 210 lbs., Gordon’s build allows him to be effective in any offensive scheme. Although his build gives him success on the field, we have to attribute it to his football IQ and ball carrier vision as well. Gordon’s ability to find the open hole gives him a competitive advantage at any level of football. When he finds open field, which is very often, he is nearly impossible to tackle one on one. He proved this his junior year, posting 2,083 rushing yards on 209 carries. Gordon was able to frustrate defensive coordinators by averaging 9.96 yards per carry, or nearly a first down every time he touched the ball. Running the ball isn’t the only thing Ollie is good at, he can also catch the ball out of the backfield. He can line up as a wide receiver or expose the defense through screen passes. His speed helps him create issues for defenses wherever he is lined up as he ran a 4.4 40-yard dash. Gordon excels on the football field and in the classroom posting a 2.9 GPA. Gordon is definitely a player to look out for in his senior year.
