Calvin Smith Jr. is a running back for Hahnville High School. Calvin possess many skills at the running back position, but the key factor that catches your eye is his size. Calvin is a powerful back with the ability to catch the ball very well, also having top tier speed at his size. Calvin explained that he fell in love with the game in middle school, where his football career really kicked off. Since this he has dedicated much time to his craft and it has payed off for him as well as his team. In Calvin’s match up versus HL Bourgeois he would have a stellar game, for he had 264 yards on 20 carries. Followed by 4 touchdowns on the night. This was a statement game for Calvin as he explained to me the recruiting process has been a little slow but not bad for him. Games like these are what coaches strive for in a running back. Calvin has the goal of playing at the next level, for he explained the faster he gets the more dominant he believes he can be at the next level. Look for Calvin to continue to put in the time and effort to achieve his goals of playing at the next level, for any team that gives him the opportunity I believe will not be let down.
