Riverdale High School (Jefferson, LA) QB Rida Ghazzali has committed to the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game. This game has a ton of weapons at all the skill positions, and Rida will be the one who gets them the ball, making sure they have their chance to show their skills.
Rida is an aerial assassin. His combination of arm strength and deep ball accuracy allows him to drop it in the bucket at any spot on the field, a rarely seen trait that is so incredibly valuable for an offense. The playbook opens up in a way few high schools can when Rida is on the field. When you let him sit in his spot, he will slice you up, but he doesn’t shut down under pressure either. He is able to both stand in and take a hit as he throws to deliver the perfect pass, and he has the ability to scramble around and crucially keep his eyes up and looking down the field in order to find the open receiver when the play breaks down. He doesn’t compile a lot of rushing yards, but his feet are an integral part of his game.
Rida was one of New Orleans’ leading passers this season, finishing with 70% completions, 2120 yards, and 30 TDs. He was the All-District MVP this year and earned an honorable mention on the All-State team. He set Riverdale passing yards and passing TD records this year as well. He has some offers, but this is a chance for him to earn even more at the bowl game tomorrow. He feels very confident in what he will do with that chance.
