Paxon High School (Jacksonville, Fla.) defensive back Tre’von Bell has committed to the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl.
Paxon is one of six players from the state of Florida who will be participating in this year’s game. He is also the second defensive back from Florida after Tadarius Wright from Escambia High School in Pensacola.
“It means a lot for me to be able to play in the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game because I will be able to showcase my talents to a bigger, more important audience of coaches and scouts. And it will also just feel really good to be back on the football field ready to play!”
In his career, Bell had 61 total tackles, four interceptions, 11 pass breakups, two blocked field goals and a forced fumble. These stats are pretty good, but they are a lot more impressive than they look considering that Bell started playing football halfway into the season of his junior year.
Bell currently has two offers from the Georgia Warhawks and Clark University. He also gained interest from other universities such as Barry University, Methodist University, Norwich University and LaGrange College.
Bell likes to model himself after Penn State cornerback Calen King.
“He may not get a lot of interceptions, but he is a physical cornerback that loves contact and makes big tackles and I want to impact the game just like him. After football I would want to start my own business so I am able to enjoy the rest of my life doing what I want.”
An interesting fact about me off the field is that I’m a very nice, social person. I like making friends, hanging out and trying new things.
