After writing about a Louisiana high school football 1st Team All-State defensive end selection earlier in Mackenzie Ardoin from Northwest High School in Opelousas, Louisiana, there is another 1st Team All-State defensive end from the Boot that will be playing his final high school football game on Saturday, December 30th at Memorial Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game. That player is Loreauville High School (Loreauville, LA) defensive end Kaine Olivier.

At 6’4, 210 pounds with 4.7/40 speed, Olivier is another long and athletic defensive end that is a part of once again another great defensive front for the bowl game. What makes this Loreauville Tiger stand out as an All-State selection is his timing and burst off the snap of the football. His ability to time the snap and explode off the football makes it hard for opposing offensive linemen to get a hand on him. His intensity and high motor are two traits that he has modeled after the late, great Sean Taylor.

Playing for the Tigers since he was an eighth grader, Olivier has always been a consistent producer for head coach Terry Martin, especially this season as he helped lead the program to five winning seasons. Over the last three years, he has been an All-District performer not only on defense, but on offense as the team’s starting left tackle. Having experience on the offensive line helps him when finding the edge on the defensive side of the football.

Right now, the Loreauville, Louisiana native has received a couple of offers from some JUCO and D2 schools, but he would like to add more to the list when he plays in the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game at the end of the month.

“I feel that playing in this game will help get my name out more and also motivates me not to give up on the game even though my high school career is over. It also gives me another accomplishment to put on my resume for colleges for football.”

Kaine Olivier is not just a talented football prospect, but he has been a good baseball player as well for the Tigers. During the offseason, he loves fishing as an extra hobby. After his playing days are over, he wants to be a veterinarian.
