Delta Charter DL Titus Harrell has committed to the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, providing the game with one of its most unique high school prospects.
Every discussion about Titus Harrell as a football player begins and ends with his height. Listed at a mammoth 6’7″ and looking like he truly is every inch of it at on film, Harrell can do simply do things on a football field that few else can. He’s also “only” 235 lbs, which is actually on the smaller side of defensive lineman, a weight more befitting of a defensive end. It’s that height-weight conundrum that leaves him with the unassigned “DL” tag as of now, as it’s unclear where along the line he’ll be playing in the bowl game.
His game is all about his size right now. He has the wingspan and strength to keep blockers at an arms’ length and shed them when needed to make the tackle. He is just bigger than his opponent, and that makes him really tough to stop. Once he gets his arms on you, you aren’t going anywhere. Harrell knows how to tackle and how to bring down the ball carrier with a good amount of power. He’s also pretty fast, using that height to make big strides when he is running someone down. Titus Harrell is the sort of player who is already great now, but has an unbelievable ceiling if he can fully grow into his body and learn how to wield it. He doesn’t have any offers yet, but that is likely to change once the scouts and coaches get a chance to see him at the bowl game.
