One of the top tacklers in the history of Carencro High School has committed to play in the 2024 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game and that is Brian Amune Jr.
This past season, the three time All-District linebacker and two time defensive player of the week recorded 110 tackles (55 solo), three tackles for loss, two sacks, a pass breakup, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a blocked kick.
Although not the biggest linebacker at 5’10, 180 pounds, Amune makes up for it with his high football IQ, decisive sideline to sideline speed, and the ability to diagnose a play early. This type of production has made him the fifth highest tackler for most tackles in a game with 18.
His speed and athleticism has also allowed him to get some carries at running back for the Golden Bears this season with 75 carries for 339 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Not only does he play fast, but Brian Amune Jr. wants to drive fast as he wants to work on lamborghinis, ferraris, and porsches.
Currently, the All-District linebacker has one offer right now from Graceland University, but wants to expand on that list when he suits up one final time for his high school at the 2024 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will be played on Monday, December 30th at Memorial Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
