John F. Kennedy Three Star 2024 CB Bernard Causey Commits To LSU

After getting a cornerback commit two days ago in PJ Woodland from Oak Grove High School in Mississippi, LSU got itself another cornerback commit in John F. Kennedy High School 2024 three star Bernard Causey.

The New Orleans, Louisiana native chose to stay in his home state and commit to the Tigers after he backed off his verbal Ole Miss commitment last night.

At 6’1, 160 pounds, Causey is rated as the Top 35 prospect in the state of Louisiana by both 247 and On3. He has received offers from Georgia, Texas A&M, Georgia Tech, Southern Miss, Texas Tech, ULM and UAB. Playing for Tulane legend Lynarise Elpheage as his head coach, Causey is the first player to have received an offer from a SEC school.

Causey has been recruited by the Tigers early in the process, but it was always evident that when he got the offer from LSU that it was going to be his top school.

“I have been having a relationship with LSU since my 10th grade year. I’ve been talking with Coach Sherm (Wilson), Coach Frank (Wilson) and Coach Carter (Sheridan) when he was at LSU but he’s the running backs coach at Tulane. It is always going to feel good to get offered by the biggest school in the state. I feel like a neighborhood hero for real.”
