GF All-American Bowl Commit: John Barr

John Barr is the first Division I commitment to commit to play in the 2022 Gridirion Football All-American game. John is a 6’4, 190 pound receiver that plays for Sterlington High School in Monroe, Louisiana and is committed to play for the ULM Warhawks. With his size and frame, John is a big, physical deep target with deceiving 4.5/40 speed that can make plays downfield against smaller defenders for the Panthers and is a dominant run blocker on the outside. Last season, John helped the Panthers win the Class 3A State Championship as a junior when he had 25 catches for 899 yards and 12 touchdowns in a run heavy offense. In the weight room, the future ULM Warhawk bench presses 275 pounds, squats 405 pounds, and power cleans 275 pounds. He also gets his work done in the classroom with having an impressive 4.0 GPA. Being a future DI player, John brings a lot of big physical tools to the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game and will get the chance to showcase them against the best of the best at the end of December.

“I felt honored to be invited to play in such a game with the great athletes that are gonna be there. This is gonna be an experience that I never thought I’d be apart of, but an experience, I’ll always remember.”
