DITR: LB Brenden Young, Natchitoches Central High( Natchitoches, LA)

Meet linebacker Brenden Young out of Natchitoches Central High. Brenden stands at 6’0″ and 210 pounds and is part of the class of 2027. As a multi-sport athlete, he has many achievements, but one of his most recent is running a 4.69 40-yard dash at one of our Gridiron Football Elite Camps. His presence and athleticism on the field don’t go unnoticed, and he can be a true game-changer. Brenden is also a great student off the field and currently has a 3.8 gpa. I recently got to speak to him, and you can read what he had to say below.

What got you into playing football?

“As a kid I started playing because of my dad, I played multiple sports growing up. “

Do you currently play any other sports?

“I run track.”

Who us your favorite player to watch?

“Jalen Hurts and for my positon, Fred Warner “

What teams do you root for?

“Oklahoma for college level and Kansas City for Nfl.”

What do you think your biggest strength is on the field?

“My IQ, I have a good understanding of the game”

What are your goals going forward?

” Just to be successful, I’d like to try to be district MVP.”

What is your biggest accomplishment so far?

“Finally getting to play my sophomore year and getting to lead the team.”

Do you have a favorite football memory?

” Getting an interception against Captain Shreve.”

What would be your dream school to play for?

Oklahoma or LSU”

Do you have any pre game rituals?

” Not really, kind of just grinding and listening to music. I try to be myself and not over do it.”

What motivates you to keep playing?

“My older brother, he’s a star athlete. He played QB for my highschool and I strive to be greater than him.”

What has the recruiting process been like so far?

” Not terrible, I get camp invites here and there.”
