DITR: TE/LB Brady Dubois Pineville High School (Pineville, LA)

Meet our newest Diamond in the Rough, Brady Dubois, a tough and talented tight end and linebacker out of Pineville High School in Louisiana. Standing at 6’2″ and weighing 200 pounds, Brady brings size, physicality, and football IQ to both sides of the ball, making him one of the most versatile and dependable players on the field.

On offense, Brady is a key asset at tight end, especially when it comes to blocking. Whether he’s sealing the edge for a run play or holding his ground in pass protection, he brings a physical presence that sets the tone up front. But don’t let his blocking ability fool you when the ball is in the air, Brady becomes a serious threat. He’s got strong hands, great concentration, and a knack for coming down with tough catches in traffic.

Defensively, Brady shines just as bright. At linebacker, his instincts are sharp and his gap-reading ability is elite. He does an excellent job diagnosing plays, navigating through traffic, and getting into the right spot to make something happen. Whether it’s stuffing a run or chasing down a ball carrier, he’s always around the action.

What separates Brady is his consistent effort and high football IQ. He understands the game at a deeper level and puts in the work to keep improving. His leadership, toughness, and versatility make him a coach’s dream and a teammate everyone respects.

With his all-around game and relentless motor, Brady Dubois is a name to watch. He’s the kind of player who impacts every down, and his journey is just getting started. Pineville’s got a real one. I had the opportunity to talk with Brady this past week and ask him a few questions you can read more about him below, but make sure to keep your eyes on Brady Dubois.

Who got you into football?

“Nobody really got me into football. I was always interested in it because it looked fun, and I would play in the yard with friends in the yard sometimes.”

Why do you play the game of football?

“I play because of the love I have for the game, and my grandfather motivates me to be the best I can be.”

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned through playing football?

“The biggest lesson I’ve learned in football is that nothing is handed to you. You have to work your hardest if you want to be the best or to have something. Never give up, no matter what.”

Where do you see football going in your life?

“I see football being my career. I see myself working towards the goal of being in college, playing for a team.”

What is your favorite football memory?

“My favorite football memory was scoring a pick 6 down 7 in the last 4 minutes of the game, my 8th grade year.”

What does football mean to you?

“Football means a lot to me. I want it to be my life and my career. Every day of the week, I’m either at the field or the weight room getting better or stronger. I spend most of my time with football.”

What challenges have you had while playing football?

“I’ve had plenty of challenges with football. I fractured a vertebra in my lower back in my 8th grade year, as well as tearing my ACL in my last middle school game.”

How did you overcome those challenges?

“I overcame those challenges by putting my faith in God and working hard every day to come back stronger. I went to doctors and therapists for a year and was back in the weight room soon after. I never gave up and worked as hard as possible.”

What motivates you to keep playing?

“What motivates me to keep playing is mainly my parents and grandfather. They keep me going and help me thrive to be the best I can be. But I also think about other players getting better and working harder than me as motivation to work harder and harder and keep going.”

How are you looking to get better and improve in football?

“I look to get better and improve in football by listening to my coaches and trainers and doing whatever they tell me to do. I also look forward to going to plenty of camps in the future to get coaching from college coaches.”

“Some goals that I have set for myself in the future are to go to the highest level of football and play for a college team. I also want to go first-team all-district and first-team all-state by my junior or senior year of high school.”

What football teams do you cheer for?

“I cheer for LSU, the New Orleans Saints, and the Bengals.”

What do you think your biggest strength is?
