Tell me a little bit about yourself.

J: I’m from New Orleans, Louisiana. I like working with classic cars if I’m not playing football and I throw discus.

What made you play football?

J: I used to be very hyper and my parents put me in football. I didn’t get in trouble hitting other people and I liked it.

What are some things you do to get into your zone before a game?

J: Before games I like to be calm. I like to take naps and I listen to jazz. I don’t like to be too hyper before games.

What is something you’ve learned in football that you’ve been able to apply in everyday life?

J: Never quitting and putting your all into everything and just to enjoy everything you have.

What is an academic and athletic goal you have set for this year?

J: I want to get all A’s and B’s. Athletically, I want to be on of the strongest on my team. I also want to make all-district and win a championship.

What is something that keeps you motivated?

J: My parents. They always push me to do better. When they see me slacking they push me. They’re my number one supporters with everything I do.

What are you most excited for when you think about your future in football?

J: College and making connections through football. I just want to be able to play on the field

What do you want people to know about you? In everyday life or as an athlete?

J: The toughness and grit that I play with on the field. Also the love and passion I have for everything I do including football. I’m happy on and off the field and nothing can bring me down.
