The Indians host the Broadmoor Buccaneers for homecoming, and like most homecoming games it was the home team on top. Even though the scoreboard looked great the Indians offense did not look the greatest. The Indians start their opening drive with a touchdown, the Istrouma defense looked very good against a very unique Wing T offense, the defense was the MVP of game, they caused two fumbles both recovered by the Indians. This was the most the Indians have passed the ball all year, and the new style of offense they ran was heavy on the pass this week, and it did cost them with an interception. But did capitalize in the second quarter with a 25 yard passing touchdown. Then after the defense caused another stop the Indians punched in for another touchdown all the first three two point conversions we no good, ending the half 18-0. Did have a weird circumstance at the end of the second quarter, with multiple Slingshots on the track to bring the homecoming court to the field, delayed the game by ten or so minutes.
After the halftime homecoming events, the Indians did not have a great third quarter and neither did the Buccaneers, with a scoreless quarter, and two plays into the fourth the Indians punch in their fourth touchdown. Just to keep testing the new style of offense in the back half of the fourth, the Indians find the endzone one last time by a 20 yard juggling catch touchdown. But the biggest news from this game is Baton Rouge coaching legend Sid Edwards, collected his 200th career win as a coach, and unfortunately did not get the video of the players dumping water on him, but ended the game with already a cold night Coach Sid Edwards got even colder by getting showed in water. Even got this funny picture of him looking like a mummy with the towels to try and warm him up after the early shower.
