How would you describe your season so far? How do you feel about your upcoming playoff match against White Castle?

I would describe this season to be one of the best Homer has had in years. Not just record wise, but also going out there playing as one unit and doing what we’re coached. I feel really good about this matchup against White Castle because we’re gonna go out there and show people we can play against some of the best talent 1A has to offer.

Did you have any specific goals coming into this season? If so, how has that been going so far?

My goal for this year was to get bigger and stronger, and it went very well. I weighed 220 pounds around 5’10”, and I am now 245 6’1” and also getting way stronger in the weight room. Also I want to win a state championship and the team and I are on a mission for that.

How did you even get into playing football? Is there anything specific that motivated you to keep playing?

What made me get into playing was hearing all the kids coming to school, talking about how their Pee Wee games went. Hearing their stories made me want to play. I begged my momma to play around 9 years old, and it stuck with me ever since. Me thinking of what I might miss out on pushes me to keep playing. Every time I feel like quitting or giving up, I just think about what I might miss out on if I stop playing the game.
