Brusly Spoils Senior Night for Istrouma 7-6

Its really hard to write about anything that happened in the first 22 minutes of the game, with just back and forth defensive stops for both teams, Istrouma coming into this game without there starting quarterback Frank Alexander, and it showed tonight for the Indians. It was a very gritty first half, finally after no offense what so ever from any team, The Indians strike with half a minute left in the half with a great after the catch touchdown by WR David Johnson, to go up 6-0 with a bad snap costing them an opportunity for two more points.

The second half was more of the same besides Brusly first drive of the half with a 41 yard rushing touchdown by Patrick Gales, and with a successful PAT, to go up 7-6. The score would stay the same the whole game, one thing I do credit Istrouma for was that they had five turnovers on offense and only allowed seven points all game, but the Panthers did not allow any points after that first touchdown by the Indians as well, they did have some luck when it comes to injury, with star athlete Kyree Paul being inactive the second half of the game. Late in the third quarter it was looking like the Panthers were going to score and possibly put this game out of reach, but the shining spot for Istrouma this game David Johnson came up huge with a interception and a great return to take away moment from Brusly. Unfortunately Istrouma could not capitalize off of it, going stagnant the rest of the game until their final drive. Brusly defense was wrecking havoc all night. Fortunately on Istrouma last drive, the Indians pull a little trickery to try and get a spark on offense, which the play worked fantastic, but the next play the Brusly defense gets an interception that sealed the game.
