Walker High School’s top offensive playmaker Cayden Jones has committed to play in the upcoming 2024 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game.
Jones, who played primarily running back for the Walker Wildcats, has committed to play some wide receiver after leading his team to a 7-5 record and a second round playoff appearance. Contrary to other skill players, Jones wore a unique jersey at #94, but he made sure that every fan that watched him play take notice of him pretty quickly.
“Cheat Code” as he is nicknamed was indeed that every time he repped the W logo. The versatile running back/wide receiver built on an great junior campaign last season when he was 2nd Team All-District and 2nd Team All-Parish with an even better senior season. After having 883 total yards and seven touchdowns in 2023, the 5’10, 180 pound receiver put up some even more gaudy numbers his senior season with over 1,800 all-purpose yards and 23 total touchdowns.
Jones’ consistency, game breaking speed, and his versatility to beat you in between the tackles, on the outside, and as a receiver makes him a weapon every time he touches the football.
With a 3.3 GPA, Cayden Jones has received numerous offers from Capital University, Hendrix, University of Langston, Millsaps, Anna Maria College, Minnesota North College, Graceland University, and Florida State Coastal. He is looking forward to having one final opportunity in representing his high school while playing in front of college coaches when he plays in the 2024 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will be played at Memorial Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Monday, December 30th.
“I am very excited that I’m playing in the bowl game this year. What I want to accomplish is earning an offer after the bowl game.”
