Southwood High School (Shreveport, LA) defensive lineman Travail Hamilton has committed to play in the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will be played at Memorial Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Saturday, December 30th. Representing the Cowboys, Hamilton may not have had many wins in his high school career, but he has shown that he was still a force to be reckoned with on the football field.
Playing on the interior of the Cowboys’ defensive line at 6’3, 280 pounds, Hamilton does an incredible job of pushing the pocket and rushing the quarterback. Considering his big size, the Southwood defensive lineman can move for his size as he has good lateral speed and is very patient when eying the quarterback in the pocket. His pass rushing skills speak for themselves as he had 10 sacks and over 10 tackles for loss this season. It shows that he is not just a gap plugger, but he is a playmaker that can disrupt plays in the backfield.
“One of my role models is definitely Aaron Donald with his inside strength and hand movement.”

“It means everything to have been selected to represent Shreveport, Louisiana. I love that I was though of and furthermore selected to be in the game. It’s a dream come true.”
