Notre Dame High School (Crowley, LA) TE Hayden Johnson has committed to play in the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game. Johnson is one of two tight ends that will be playing in Baton Rouge for the upcoming bowl game that will be held at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, December 30th.
Playing for one of the greatest and winningest Louisiana high school head coaches in Lewis Cook, the 6’1, 215 pound tight end was a four year letterman and a two year starter at tight end with a 3.4 GPA. Even though the Pioneers are known for running the football, Johnson has proved to be a valuable asset in the passing game. Despite only reeling in 14 catches this season, he has shown to be very elusive after the catch averaging close to 20 yards a grab with 275 yards and five touchdowns this past season.
The 1st Team All-District and 1st Team All-Parish tight end has skills like a running back when he touches the football. Johnson displays some nice speed running a 4.71/40, a nice vertical 34″, and also does not go down on just one or two arm tackles shown by his 350 pound bench press. His ability as a pass catcher and as a playmaker can provide to be a secret weapon for any offense. Getting the opportunity to play in the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, he wants to show off his talents at a bigger stage.

Right now, he has no offers, but he has been shown interest by Arkansas Monticello, Millsaps College, Northeast Mississippi Junior College, and University of St. Mary in Kansas.
Although he plays tight end, he models himself after NFL running back legend Marshawn Lynch.
“I model myself after Beast Mode. He was a dawg and always hard to tackle, but he also always found a way to have fun when he played.”

An interesting fact about the athletic tight end is that he is also an altar server and Eucharistic minister for his school church services. When Hayden Johnson’s playing days are over, he plans to branch off of Impact Nutrition, which is a smoothie and supplement shop, and have his own stores to own and operate.
