Opelousas High School (Opelousas, LA) offensive lineman Joe Milton has committed to play in the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will be played on Saturday, December 30th at Memorial Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Playing for one of the best offensive lines in the state of Louisiana under head coach Jimmy Zachery, Milton couldn’t have asked for a better senior year as he helped lead the Tigers to their first ever state championship.
The 6’2, 280 pound 1st Team All-District and 1st Team All-State selection helped open holes for one of the nation’s top running backs for the Class of 2025 in D’Shaun Ford en route to the state championship. There is no denying Milton’s ability as he is athletic, strong, and just bullies defenders until the final whistle is blown. On his highlight tape, there are numerous pancake blocks of him plowing through opposing defensive linemen. Because of his fluidity and strength, Milton compares his game to Dallas Cowboys’ All-Pro offensive lineman Zack Martin.
Right now, Milton has received an offer to play in the Southland Conference for McNeese State, but he has also drawn interest from ULL, Nicholls State, and Northwestern State. The Opelousas senior is hoping to cap off a spectacular senior campaign with one more great performance at the upcoming Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game.
“Playing in the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game means a lot to me and I am able to play my last high school game.”Opelousas High School 2024 OL Joe Milton
When Joe Milton’s playing days are over, he would like to start his own company.
