Comeaux High School (Lafayette, LA) defensive back Alex Simon has committed to play in the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game. The Comeaux defensive back was a versatile piece on the Spartans’ defense. On film, he can be seen all over the place at cornerback, safety, and even at linebacker. He has shown that he has the flexibility to play at the line of scrimmage and also can play the ball well in the air.

At 6’0, 150 pounds with 4.6/40 speed, Simon has shown to have a good mix of length of speed to the table. Not to mention, he is also a good tackler with 41 tackles his senior season. The Lafayette native models his game after one of the best up and coming defensive backs in the NFL in the New York Jets’ Sauce Gardner.

When it comes to options at the next level, Simon has received three offers from Clarke University, St. Andrews University, and San Bernardino Valley. He would like to build off that list for his last high school football game at the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Saturday, December 30th.
