Our next Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game commit hails from the state of Florida, and he is Chiefland High School (Chiefland, FL) linebacker Lawrence Rivers. At 6’0, 210 pounds with 4.8/40 speed, this hard hitting linebacker made a lot of stops for the Indians this year and came with a vengeance on every tackle he was a part of. As an emotional leader that is not afraid to show his emotion on his sleeves, Rivers brings plenty of intensity and passion to the linebacker position, which is something that he takes from New York Giants Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor. Like the NFL great, Rivers does a great job of attacking the gaps and timing plays in the backfield before they even happen.

The Florida native was all over the field making plays like that this season as he racked up 122 total tackles, 20 tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles, two blocked punts, and two interceptions. The two time All-Area selection was a playmaker for the Indians making big plays on both defense and special teams. His aggressive nature and physicality has given him offers from colleges like Andrew College, McDougle Technical Institute, Gallaudet University, Naples Knight, and Mount St. Joseph.
