#2 South Plaquemines (LA) 2025 RB Jy’heim “Chubb” Williams: 6,433 votes
South Plaquemines would advance to the semifinals with a 42-18 win over Mangham last week. Jy’heim Williams outscored Mangham as a team with just his personal stat line for the night. On 16 carries he would rush for 189 yds and 2 rushing TDs. He also would add 1 reception, a 14-yard TD catch to give him 3 total in a special quarterfinal performance.South Plaquemines will face off at home again this week against Logansport for a chance to go to the Superdome and win a State Championship for the first time in over 15 years.
#3 Cecilia (LA) 2025 QB/CB Diesel Solari: 472 votes
The senior QB Diesel Solari has taken over on the Bulldogs’ playoff run, knocking off one of the favorites in this loaded bracket, Lutcher HS. While they have talent all over in Brent Gordon and Ellis Stewart, Solari has made sure to put his name on the map as well. Through the air, he would complete 10 of his 21 pass attempts for 144 yards and 2 passing TDs, while staying clean with 0 INTs. On the ground is where he excels the most though, as on 20 rushing attempts he would run for just over 200 yards, 202, and add on 2 TDs in Cecilia’s huge 57-40 win over North DeSoto. They head on the road once again to face off against the Plaquemine Green Devils, who have knocked off some powerhouses, such as defending state champion Opelousas, on their way to the semifinals as well. Get ready for a high-flying, exciting matchup this week to determine who will get a chance to play in the State Championship.

#4 Ascension Catholic (LA) 2025 RB Chad Elzy: 132 votes
Gridiron Football Bowl Game commit Chad Elzy has already made himself a Louisiana playoff football legend with his 9-touchdown performance last season. But he knows what is at stake during this time of the year and wants his team to feed and trust him in these big moments. That is exactly what HC Lowell Narcisse and Ascension Catholic let him do last Friday night and he showed why he deserved every touch he got. He would end the night with 357 yds and a whopping 6 TDs in a 40-35 win over Riverside Academy. Elzy would score all the team’s touchdowns and is willing to do it again this week if that is what is needed, for them to punch their ticket to the Superdome. They face off against a hot Ouachita Christian team who has only lost 1 game all season. Get your popcorn ready for this matchup!
#5 Bunkie (LA) 2025 WR/CB Ron Patterson: 12 votes
Bunkie improved to 12-0 on the season and Ron Patterson would be a huge deciding factor in the game. With their undefeated season on the line, he made huge plays on both sides of the ball to put his team in position to win this game. On the offensive side of the ball, he would have 4 receptions for 62 yards. On defense though, he would make 11 tackles, 1 TFL , and an interception that was returned 89 yards for a TD. This pick-6 would be huge for them as it would end up being all they needed to get the win with a defensive hold on a 2-pt conversion attempt by Jewel Sumner. They would advance to the semifinals with a 14-12 victory.
Bunkie has one of the best games in the Baton Rouge area this week, traveling on the road to face off against one of the few undefeated teams remaining across the state, the Dunham Tigers. Dunham is led by 2027 #1 QB Elijah Haven, but this will be their toughest game yet this season. One of these teams will keep their undefeated season alive and advance to the Superdome, while the other will be sent home with their first taste of defeat all year.
#6 Calvary Baptist (LA) 2025 QB Abram Wardell: 9 votes
Abram Wardell is a name that you have probably heard over the course of this season as he has posted some huge games for his team this season, helping lead them to a 10-2 record up to this point. In last Friday night’s game vs Episcopal, he would have one of his biggest and most efficient performances all season as he would complete 15 of 18 for 415 yards. Out of his 15 completions, a third of those would be good for 6, as he threw 5 passing TDs on their way to a 52-10 win in front of their home crowd. They will host the 7-seed Catholic – New Iberia, who actually upset the 2-seed Newman in dominant fashion, a shutout 31-point victory in the quarterfinals. Calvary Baptist has a chance to go to the dome and win back-to-back State Championships with a win this Friday.
#7 Niceville (FL) 2025 QB Johnny “JJ” Lewis Jr.: 5 votes
For our 7th spot, we head to Florida for JJ Lewis, the senior QB from Niceville. Hw would play a perfect game, passing 7 for 7 for 96 yards, including a passing touchdown. But on the ground he would put in a running-back workload with 30 carries for 217 yards and added a rushing TD. Niceville is now 12-1 on the season after their 31-10 victory over Lincoln and hold their position as a top-15 team in the state. But they have their toughest test yet in the semifinals on the road against undefeated Lakeland, who is ranked as the number-2 team in Florida and 12th nationally on MaxPreps.
#8 Vermilion Catholic (LA) 2025 QB Jonathan Dartez: 3 votes
Jonathan Dartez is doing whatever he can to make sure that Vermilion Catholic gets a chance to make it to the dome again, after he came up short in the State Championship game his sophomore year. He has had amazing offensive performances since the playoffs started and this week was no different. Passing, he would complete 5/7 passes for 131 yards and throw 2 touchdowns. But on the ground, where he has proven he will run the ball as many times as the defense will allow until it stops working. He would end the game with actually one of the lower carry numbers we have seen this season from him, 22, but still ran for 178 yards and 4 rushing touchdowns. Dartez’s performance would lead VC to a 60-20 victory over St. Edmund, who had just put up 78 points and 700 yards of offense the previous week. They face off against Kentwood this week, who just beat Southern Lab, 50-32, in a regular season rematch, where they fell the first time.
#9 Calvary Baptist (LA) 2025 WR/S Braylun Huglon: 3 votes
Usually when a quarterback has 5 passing TDs, like Abram Wardell did last week, it’s because his receivers are always open or always making big plays. Braylun Huglon was a combination of both in last Friday night’s performance vs Episcopal. He would absolutely pop off with 237 yards on only 6 catches. While he only had 6 receptions, he would score on half of those giving him 3 touchdowns on the night and giving his team a huge push to their huge 52-10 win. They face off against Catholic – New Iberia this week in what should prove to be a great semifinal matchup.
#10 Boerne (TX) 2025 RB/TE/LB Hutson Hendrix: 2 votes
Last but not least, we have Hutson Hendrix, another player joining our list from Texas. In last Friday night’s game, Hendrix would have 13 rushes for 93 yards and 4 TDs. But he is an all-purpose athlete who plays defense as well and he made his presence felt with 12 tackles including 1 TFL. He even made an impact on special teams, adding a blocked punt to his already monster of a stat line. Boerne would go on to win the game 59-15 vs Victoria West, improving to 10-3, in round 3 of the playoffs. They face off this week in the quarterfinals vs Miller who is 11-2 on the season.
