Twelve former LSU Tigers have advanced to play in the NFL Divisional Round of the Playoffs and will be in action starting today.
LSU is guaranteed to have one representative in the Super Bowl as there is at least one former Tiger on seven of the eight remaining playoff teams with the Philadelphia Eagles being the exception.
NFL Divisional Round weekend will have two games on Saturday and two games on Sunday.
The first game on Saturday will feature the Jacksonville Jaguars led by former Tiger pass rushers K’Lavon Chaisson and Arden Key making the travel to take on the Kansas City Chiefs represented by running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who is out for the season with an injury.

The second game on Saturday will include Cordale Flott and the New York Giants against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Sunday’s first matchup will include the most LSU players as the Cincinnati Bengals led by Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase will match up against Tre’Davious White, Reid Ferguson, and the Buffalo Bills. Burrow is coming off a Wild Card win against the Baltimore Ravens in which he threw for 209 yards and a touchdown while Chase had nine receptions for 84 yards and a score.

The playoff weekend finale will include a longtime playoff rivalry between the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers. The Cowboys have two former LSU linebackers Damone Clark and Jabril Cox while the 49ers have former LSU running back Tyrion Davis-Price. All three are teammates on LSU’s 2020 team.
