Tulane’s 2018 Football Schedule Announced

NEW ORLEANS – The 2018 Tulane football schedule is complete with today’s release of the conference schedule and select television networks by the American Athletic Conference.

The Green Wave will play league home games against Memphis, SMU, ECU and Navy, and road contests at Cincinnati, Tulsa, USF and Houston. In addition, the Wave will play host to Wake Forest and Nicholls, and travel to UAB and Ohio State in non-conference play. Tulane also announced dates for Homecoming and Hall of Fame Weekend.

Tulane will play three non-Saturday contests, including the 2018 season opener against Wake Forest on Thursday, Aug. 30 at Yulman Stadium. The conference opener against Memphis will be played on Friday, Sept. 28 at Yulman Stadium, and the final road game of the season at Houston will be played on Thursday, Nov. 15.

Tulane will honor its 2018 Athletics Hall of Fame class on Saturday, Oct. 20 when it plays host to SMU in Yulman Stadium. Homecoming is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 10 when ECU visits Yulman Stadium. The Green Wave conclude the regular season at home against Navy on Nov. 24.

Conference away games are at Cincinnati (Saturday, Oct. 6), at Tulsa (Saturday, Oct. 27), at USF (Saturday, Nov. 3) and at Houston (Thursday, Nov. 15).

The Green Wave open the season with two straight home contests. Following the opener against Wake Forest, Nicholls visits Yulman Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 8 in the first-ever football meeting between the schools. Tulane will play two road non-conference games: at UAB on Sept. 15 in Birmingham, Ala., and at Ohio State on Sept. 22 in Columbus, Ohio. The Wave will meet the Buckeyes for the first time in program history.

The road contest at Houston has been selected to be televised on ESPN. Game times and television networks for the first three games will be announced in June, while other times and television selections will be made during the season. Once again, all American Athletic Conference games and non-conference home contests will be televised on the ESPN family of networks or CBS Sports Network.
