They took the lead early in the 1st quarter with an 86-yard pass from quarterback, Justin McMillan(12) to wide receiver, Darnell Mooney(3) to score one of the many touchdowns for the night. The Green defense doing what they are known for, stopping their opponent offense to allow their offense more time on the field and a chance to score. Midway through the 2nd quarter is exactly what they did. Justin McMillan(12) find Terren Encalade(5) for a 73-yard pass completed for another Green Wave touchdown. With this pass, Encalade became the 11th Tulane player to surpass the 2,000 receiving yards in his career. This first half of this ball game was all Tulane on both sides of the ball. Late in this 1st half, ECU had a chance to score and lead the Green Waves but cornerback, Donnie Lewis Jr(1) broke up the most critical pass that could have lead to an ECU touchdown which lead to a 3 and out before halftime. This defense has been dominating and executing as they have done multiple times throughout the season.

Tulane came out the 2nd half ready to put an end to this game. McMillan(12) found Mooney(3) for another 79-yard touchdown pass. Justin McMillan(12) passed for 372 yards and threw 3 touchdowns throughout this game. Darnell Mooney(3) caught 6 passes for 217 yards and 2 touchdown passes that aided the Green Waves in this win. As time winded down through the 3rd and 4th quarter Tulane moved down the field and gained as much yardage as possible. The Green Wave defense showed up and showed out, holding the East Carolina Pirates. Tulane has won 3 consecutive American Athletic Conference games this season, and this has not been done since 2013. The Green Waves definitely started and ended their homecoming off right. If Tulane continues this winning streak, it is possible they will make a bowl appearance. Tulane is now 5-5 overall, and 4-2 in the American Athletic Conference. This Tulane football team is definitely one to watch out for.
