Red River defeats Lincoln Prep 14-0

The Red River Bulldogs took control shutting out the Lincoln Prep Panthers by a final score of 14-0 in the Bayou Jamb.

After burning six minutes off the clock in the first half, the Bulldogs set the tone with a one yard touchdown plunge by running back Leonard Mosley to put the Bulldogs up top 7-0. Heading into halftime, the Panthers only ran a total of six plays.

In the second half, it looked like the Bulldogs would score again, but a penalty that called back a touchdown run took seven points off the board. As a result, the Bulldogs had to kick a field goal, which proved to be unsuccessful. Despite struggling on offense, the Panthers had a chance to tie the game, but had to punt the ball back to the Bulldogs. From then on, Red River iced the game with another rushing score less than two minutes remaining in the game.

Lincoln Prep will open the regular season on the road against Madison Friday night. Meanwhile, Red River will open the regular season on the road Thursday night against Haughton.
