McNeese State Wins Big Again!!!

The McNeese State Cowboys came out with another big win this weekend against the Nicholls State Colonels. The Cowboys continue their dominant streak beating the Colonels 45 to 3. The Cowboys were the better team for the whole game on both sides of the ball. Even though Nicholls State came into this game 0-5 for the season, it was still a big win for the Cowboys just showing how big of a threat they are in the Southland conference. The Cowboys split time between Junior Quarterbacks Tyler Bolfing and Daniel Sams. Sams ran for 135 yards and threw two touchdown passes, helping the Cowboys win its Southland Conference opener. Overall Sams went 5-0f-11 for 76 yards and two touchdowns. Bolfing did not look bad either going 10-of-15 for 166 yards and a 4-yard touchdown pass to Junior Running Back Derrick Milton. Freshman Running Back Ryan Ross also had a great game going 94 yards on 14 carries with a touchdown. The Cowboys defense shut down the Colonels offense only allowing a field goal in the third quarter. Along with only allowing three points the Cowboys defense caused two turnovers for the Colonels offense. This marks the third dominant win in a row for the McNeese State Cowboys. The road is only going to get harder moving forward for the Cowboys, starting with their next game against the Sam Houston State Bearkats, who are 2 and 3 on the season but 1 and 0 in the Southland Conference. However, I still believe that the Cowboys are the most dominant team in the Southland conference, and that they are more than capable to win out the rest of their games. GO COWBOYS!!!
