Madison coming into the game are 1-2 on the season after last week’s loss to Scotlandville 37-6. Parkview came into this game undefeated at 3-0, and coming off a win last week against Brusly 28-14.

The game started off with the Parkview Eagles kicking it off to the Chargers. Madison got their passing game going early as Tylan Johnson picked up some first down going to Semaj Pierre and David Jones. Johnson ended up doing the rest with his legs to put the Chargers on the board, as he ran for a 13 yard touchdown. The Eagles’ offense started off strong with a big completion to their tight end #29 for 14 yards but, the Chargers defense was too much for them. After a couple runs for no gain, the Charges’ defense were able to stop the Eagles on a 4th and 5 at the Madison 34 yard line.

Before the end of the 1st quarter, the Chargers tried to get the passing game going again, but it led to an interception by the Eagles defense. The Chargers’ defense stepped up and forced them to a 3 and out to get the ball back.

At the start of the second quarter, Madison was looking to put some more points on the board, but a couple penalties and a sack would force them to punt the ball. The Eagles were able to block the Chargers punt, setting them up in great field position. Madison’s defense were able to step up again with a big interception from safety Treylan James. The interception would lead to a 24 yard touchdown pass from Johnson to David Jones.

In the second half, the Eagles started off with the ball. Following a couple key first downs for the Eagles, they were able to get on the board with a 29 yard touchdown from Abram Johnston to Jay Richardson. After still being up 12-7, the Charges’ offense on back-to-back drives punted, and then turned the ball over on downs.

In the 4th quarter, the Chargers’ run game was becoming a factor as Keilan Sherman had a couple huge 20+ yard runs to get their offense in rhythm. Johnson was able to find Jones on a screen for a 13 yard pass to give him his second touchdown of the game. The Chargers’ offense wasn’t finished as their running back, Tony Lewis scored on a 10 yard rushing touchdown. Tony also scored on the 2pt conversion to give Madison a 26-7 lead with less than two minutes left in the game. The Chargers’ would go on to win and get their second win of the season.
