LSU Gets Second Duncanville Commit in Two Days in 2025 5 Star WR Dakorien Moore

The Tigers may have gone 1 for 2 in trying to land Duncanville High School commits to their program as LSU was able to get 2024 four star running back Caden Durham on Thursday and although they missed out on five star 2024 defensive end Colin Simmons to Texas, the Tigers made up for it by getting another five star player today in 2025 wide receiver Dakorien Moore.

Duncanville High School, which won a Class 6A state championship in Texas last fall, continues to be the center of attention in the recruiting world as another talented player made his college commitment announcement. The announcement came on social media just after LSU concluded their practice today. This is another ultra talented receiver for the Tigers as Moore is the number one high school football player in the state of Texas for the 2025 class. According to 247 Sports, Moore is the second ranked wide receiver in the 2025 class and fifth overall nationally.

Last season, Moore was the leading pass target for the Panthers to win the state championship as he is coming off a season in which he had 44 catches for 764 yards and six touchdowns as a sophomore. He was preceded by a great freshman debut in which he had 366 yards receiving and five touchdowns.

The highly sought-after receiver chose the Tigers over Texas, Ohio State, USC, Oregon State, Oklahoma, and over 30 other programs.

The 2025 class is picking up a little steam as Moore now joins Brett Bordelon, Jaylen Bell, and JD LaFleur as commitments.

Certainly, the Bayou Splash event and LSU’s reputation for producing great talent at the receiver position were key reasons why the five star prospect from Ducanville decided to commit heading into his junior season. It is clear that LSU is utilizing the talent that is in the Duncanville, Texas pipeline.
