Franklin Parish Capitalizes On Turnovers In 7-0 Win Over Jonesboro Hodge

The Jonesboro Hodge Tigers turned the football over three times in their 7-0 loss to the Franklin Parish Patriots in the Bayou Jamb.

In the first half, it was Jonesboro Hodge that was dominating the flow of the game with two long drives, but two interceptions stopped the Tigers from putting points on the scoreboard.

The Tigers defense, led by LSU 2024 linebacker commit Xavier Atkins, did their part defensively by not letting the Patriots score for most of the game. That was until the Patriots set themselves up in great field position after recovering a fumble at the Tigers’ 27 yard line. With less than seven minutes in the contest, Patriots quarterback Bryce Curtis hits Javion White for the one and only touchdown of the game.

Franklin Parish opens the regular season at home against Bastrop on Friday while Jonesboro Hodge opens their regular season Friday on the road against General Trass.
