Sharroid Whitehead is an exceptional quarterback for the Ocean Springs Greyhounds, widely recognized for his leadership and consistent ability to guide his team to victory. Under his command, the Greyhounds have secured four consecutive regional championships, a testament to his skill and football IQ. Whitehead has earned 15 scholarship offers, including prestigious programs such as the University of Tennessee, Florida State, and Penn State, among others. In addition to his quarterback duties, Whitehead is a versatile athlete, excelling in multiple positions. Known for his speed and playmaking ability, he remains a dynamic threat, particularly when the pocket collapses, showcasing his ability to improvise and make crucial plays under pressure. I recently had the honor of interviewing and getting insight into this young man.
Who is your favorite NFL/College player that you try to model your game after?
Florida State Cam Akers I really like how he takes pride in his game and current i’ll have to say LSU Aarron Anderson.
What is your biggest strength on the field?
My speed, i’m the fastest guy on any feild.
Coming off a massive win against Gulfport, what do you think most contributed to help win the game?
Everyone stepping up and making plays when plays needed to be made, I think that is what wins big games.
Looking back on the season, what area do you think you’ve grown the most?
Being able to use the talent god gave me and just giving people a show.
Who is your biggest inspiration? Who motivates you to be the absolute best every day?
Self motivation but really my family making sure I can set them up for life.
Huge rivalry game against St.Martin tomorrow what’s kinda things have y’all been working on in order to get a win?
Making sure we get the little things right so the big plays can come.
