DITR: CB/KR Peter Santiago C.E. Byrd High School (Shreveport, LA)

Peter Santiago is a 5’8, 200lb. cornerback and kick returner who is in 11th Grade and attends C.E. Byrd High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. Peter is an amazing all-around athlete on the field and recently participated in the Gridiron Football Elite Camp and had a well-rounded performance. Throughout Peter’s career, he has averaged 20 catches, 700 yards, 300 kick return yards, and has completed 30 tackles. Peter is a very talented player who can become a very great athlete in the future.

What are some things you have overcome in life?

Some things I have overcome in life was being able to start varsity as a freshman by working hard in earning that chance.

What are your biggest accomplishments?

Some of my biggest accomplishments was being able to make second team all district as an 8th grader.

What player do you compare yourself to and why?

I compare myself to Travis Hunter because I love to play both sides of the ball and he is a player that is very skillful at playing both sides.

What are your plans once you’re done with football and why?

My plans when I’m done with football will be doing engineering because it is my second favorite thing to do and helps calm me down.

What do you like about the sport of football and why is it significant to you?

I love the sport of football because I got to do something everyday and making a bond with my teammates. Football is so important to me because I want to make it for my mom because she’s the only thing I have left and she’s counting on me so I want to make her proud and prove people that I will make it.

What is an interesting fact about you outside of football?

An interesting fact about me is that I love to go fishing.

What is your dream college to play for?

My dream college to play for would be LSU.
