CHECK OUT JUDD IN THE 2021 QUARTERBACKS.

At what age did you begin playing football?

I actually began playing football when I was a freshman in high school.

Do you play any other sports in high school?

Yes, I also play baseball. It definitely helps keep me in shape for football. A lot of colleges, I believe, look at multisport athletes more. It’s something I can showcase more during recruitment.

Are you in any clubs at school?

I am in the Student Council. I’m also in Trojan Mentors. As a mentor we help new freshmen get used to the campus so that they are not as shy.

What has football taught you about life?

Football has taught me a lot. It started out teaching me how to commit to something and show up every day.  If you’re willing to put your mind to something and work for it, it will eventually pay off. It showed me how to be a leader, on and off the field. A lot of kids look up to me as a quarterback. It’s also taught me how to deal with attention and blame. It’s molded me into the guy that I am today. It’s helped me a lot in life.

How do you think coaches and teammates would describe you as a player?

I’d say they’d describe me as very outgoing and fun to be around. My coaches and teammates would call me a leader on and off the field. I get my stuff done in the classroom and I handle my business on the field, whether it be during practice or a game. I believe they look at me as a leader and guy to look up to when it comes to how to go about things in the program.

What advice would you give to younger players who want to play high school football one day?

I would tell them that when it gets tough, think about how other people playing your position are getting better too. There’s always someone you can try to be better than. There’s always something you can get better at and improve on.

Outside of sports, do you have any hobbies?

Whenever the cold weather comes around, I duck hunt. I hang out with friends and family. I tube and go out on the lake a lot with my family.

Do you have a favorite college or NFL athlete?

My favorite college is definitely LSU, especially since I’m born and raised in Louisiana. My favorite NFL athlete is Tyrann Mathieu. He’s always my favorite from LSU. He’s an absolute animal on the field.

What do you do in your offseason?

My offseason is focused on finding ways to get better. I work on stuff as much as can without having pads on. It’s mainly being able to relax so that when it’s time to go to work, I’m ready.

Do you have any specific personal goals for next season?

I’d like to throw for fifteen hundred yards and I’d love to pick up some more offers.

What are some pregame activities that your team does?

We always have the speaker bumping. We go crazy and get hype for the game. We get ourselves pumped for sure.

Is there a specific song that gets you the most hype before the game?

Not really. Whatever song comes on, everyone in the locker room goes crazy. It’s easy to join in whether you know the song or not.

What would you say motivates you the most?

I would say my family motivates me the most. They always have high expectations for me. I have them for myself as well. No one wants to let their family down. If I can put a smile on their face then I feel like I’ve done something right. I would also like to shout out my teammates that are on the O Line, Dylan and Cole.

What’s the most challenging thing about being a quarterback?

Being a quarterback, you know you’re going to get the good and bad thrown at you not matter what you do. Being able to hear everyone’s side of the story and holding my head high helps me deal with all of the critiques.

Raising Cane’s or Chick-Fil-A?
Definitely Cane’s. I actually just had it for supper.
