Diamond in the Rough: Braxton Jackson

 

Braxton Jackson is a 6’3 280lbs senior 1st team all area, parish, and district defensive end from Minden High School in Minden, Louisiana. Jackson finished his senior campaign with 40 tackles, two sacks, and 12 quarterback hurries. Jackson can bench 385, can squat 550, and runs a 5.0 in the 40 yard-dash.

 

When did you become introduced to the game of football?

I was eight years old when I started playing in the Rec League.

What are somethings that football has taught you?

Football has taught me about being a part of a brotherhood and it has even increased my love for the game.

Who is your biggest motivator?

At the end of the day I consider myself as my biggest motivator.

Are there any other hobbies you enjoy besides football?

I enjoy chilling with my friends, playing basketball, and in general I just like to hang out.

What made you decide to play on the d-line?

I like the swagger of how football players on the defensive line carry themselves.

Which NFL player do you try to model yourself after.

I try to be like Aaron Donald because he is raw.

What is your biggest strength on the football field?

My biggest strength on the football field is my hands and my bull rushing abilities.

What areas of your game have you been working on trying to improve?

I am always working on improving my speed.
